As a student, it is essential to maintain appropriate behavior while at school. The following expectations outline the conduct we uphold within our institution. Should you have any
concerns or questions, please reach out to your instructor for clarification.
We ask that all students show respect towards instructors, office staff, and fellow students at all times. Any instance where a student places their hands on another student, instructor, or office staff member will result in immediate termination from the program. Please note that no refunds will be issued under these circumstances, regardless of the timeframe.

Dress code
Our dress code preferences include:
- Preferred: Work boots or tennis shoes.
- Not allowed: Open-toed shoes, crocs, flip-flops, or sandals.
- Acceptable tops: T-shirts and company-approved tank tops; no offensive logos or drug/political themes.
- Bottoms: Denim or cargo shorts (7” inseam or longer) in summer; jeans preferred.
- Not allowed: Basketball shorts, spandex, or gym attire. Clothes should be clean and hole-free.
We respect and accommodate grooming styles, clothing, and accessories based on religious beliefs, ethnicity, or disability.
Attendance Policy
At MG Truck Driving School, attendance and punctuality are crucial for your success. Please note:
- Day classes run from 5am to 4pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
- Evening classes are from 3:00pm to 1am, with a 30-minute lunch break.
- Tardiness (>15 mins) without prior approval
- First unexcused absences will result in a verbal warning
- Second unexcused absences will result in a write up
- Third unexcused absences will result in termination
- Planned absences need approval from a training manager.
- Illness requires a doctor's note upon return.
Language
Please maintain appropriate conduct at school by avoiding slang, jargon, and sensitive subjects. Personal conversations, politics, financial situations, religious beliefs, and racial slurs are not suitable topics. Refrain from crass humor, foul language, sexual innuendo, harassment, and curse words. Using abusive or offensive language may lead to expulsion.
Cyber security and digital devices
This section covers guidelines for digital use at school to ensure security and protect our assets:
- Computers: Use school computers for educational purposes only. Avoid downloading unauthorized software or accessing inappropriate websites.
- Phones: Use phones during designated breaks or outside class time. Refrain from disruptive use during lectures or practical sessions.
- Internet: Access the school's internet responsibly. Do not stream content, visit inappropriate sites, or engage in activities that compromise network security.
- Social media: Represent the school positively on social media. Refrain from posting inappropriate content, including photos or comments that could harm the school's reputation.
These guidelines aim to maintain a secure digital environment and protect school assets.
Cell phone
At school, cell phone use is permitted under these guidelines to maintain a focused learning environment:
- Use your phone for educational purposes like productivity apps and calendars.
- Refrain from using your phone during instructional time.
- Keep personal calls brief in designated areas to avoid disrupting others.
- Limit texting and gaming to non-instructional times.
- Do not use your phone while driving.
- Avoid recording confidential information.
- Do not download or upload inappropriate, illegal, or obscene content.
- Respect restricted areas where cell phone use is prohibited.
These rules are designed to enhance your educational experience and uphold a professional atmosphere at school.
Social media
We encourage responsible use of personal social media at school with these guidelines:
- Use personal accounts responsibly and avoid distractions from your schoolwork.
- Clarify that your personal opinions or posts do not reflect our company by adding a disclaimer such as "opinions are my own."
- Refrain from sharing intellectual property or confidential information belonging to the school.
- Avoid posting defamatory, offensive, or derogatory content that could violate our company's anti-harassment policy if directed towards peers, prospects, vendors, or
partners.

Drugs/Alcohol
Drugs and alcohol are prohibited on the premises during business hours.
Safety
ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SAFETY BELT. Follow all directions from the instructors. Maintain a safe distance from all moving vehicles. Do not walk behind any moving vehicles. Do not stand between the instructor and vehicles. Zero acceleration is permitted on the range. Do not hit or run over cones; instead, use a pull up. If you hear a whistle, you are to stop immediately. DO NOT operate any trucks without an instructor on the range. When exiting the trucks ALWAYS use three points of contact and exit backwards.
Equipment
Each student shall ensure that all such equipment is maintained and used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and all current safety standards. If the student sees any lights on the dash, they must bring it to the instructor's attention immediately. The student shall be liable for any damage due to the student's negligence.
Counseling for Infractions
- Students will receive counseling to address and correct any infractions of the safety guidelines mentioned above.
- Each infraction will be documented to ensure accurate tracking of repeated violations.
- After three documented instances of infractions, the student will be subject to expulsion from the program.
Refund Policy for MG Truck Driving School
We understand that circumstances may change, and students may need to reconsider their enrollment in our school. To provide clarity and fairness regarding refunds, we have established the following refund policy.
- Refund Eligibility: Students who withdraw from the program before the end of the first week of classes are eligible for a 50% refund of the tuition fees paid.
- After the first week of classes, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
- Please note: A 4% processing fee will be deducted from all refunds issued for payments made by debit or credit card.
Exceptional Circumstances
In rare and exceptional circumstances, such as documented medical emergencies or other unforeseeable events, the school administration reserves the right to review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Any decision to grant a refund in such cases will be at the sole discretion of MG Truck Driving School.
Additional Fees
Please note that any additional fees paid for materials, equipment, or other non-tuition expenses are non-refundable.
